Washed your hands today?

This video was shot on the same evening we shot the Valentines Day video this year. The concept is simple, let the audience know where the main character’s hands have been and then let them squeal in horror as they watch those hands touch anything and everything in sight. Because the concept has no real story line I scrapped it, and decided not to put it together. Now, months later, when looking through my unused footage for the year I decided to edit it together and put it up on the extra channel for Srizzil fans to enjoy. It’s a fun concept that may not match the scripted genre I’m going for on the main channel, but it still has something cool about it.

The most difficult part about putting this video together was finding some music that feels right with the concept. I tried everything from pop, to hip hop, and finally found a horror track that worked well. When it some to videos that rely heavily on music to get your idea across I find it’s much easier to have the music ready before the video, or you’re going to have a hard time finding something that works later. With scripted videos music becomes a bit easier because it’s not the main focus, but rather an underlying element helping the story along.

I hope this makes you smile, cringe a little, and then rush off to wash your hands.

Some say I'm the most handsome man in the world (my mom), others tend to disagree, but one thing is certain - I love to entertain. Whether it be through music, writing, or film, seeing people respond with a smile is worth more than a bag of gold. Figuratively obviously, because smiles are free and gold is very expensive.
